Mayhaws

Seedlings

One year old seedlings about pencil thickness

I grafted this one with cleft graft just above the rope.

Mayhaw a friend Bobbie Talbert grafted.  This is his own selection called G2.  He has a mayhaw orchard with 6 miles of mayhaws!  I am buying mayhaw juice from his until my two trees get big enough to bear some berries.   I have 3 of Bobbie's selections: G2 "Spectacular", G5 "Texas Star", and Maxine.  I top worked a tree to G5 this spring and just got a Maxine tree.  Maxine is one that blooms later and has fruit in late May, much later than the April fruiting of the other selections.
